Altar Image Photography
You imagine and envision and design every detail of your big day for months, years – even a lifetime – and then it goes by too quickly to embrace every heartfelt moment.
That’s why you want a photographer who listens to your dreams and learns about your plans. You want a photographer who takes the time to see your vision. You want a photographer you trust.
Who and what important details will make this the most special celebration of your life? Is it family and friends? Fun? Flowers or food?
At Altar Image Photography, if it’s meaningful to you, it matters to us. We’ll plan your engagement and wedding pictures together, so when everything you’ve dreamed of finally comes to life, you won’t have to worry about missing a thing.
We’ll focus on capturing your memories so you can enjoy the wonder of your wedding – on the big day and for years to come.
Each couple we photograph is unique, and the ceremonies and celebrations are true reflections of the love they share. We’re honored to be trusted with capturing the excitement and emotion of one of the most special days in their lives. Please take a look at some of our favorite photographs, then let us know how you picture your wedding day – and how we can help preserve it.
Jason was great to work with! He took amazing photos and he was very professional throughout the entire day. He was open to any ideas we had and kept everything fun and simple. We greatly appreciate the fact that he traveled so far to be our photographer! Thank you so much! - Kristin
Welcome!
Jason Johnson found his love of photography when he was just three years old. At eight he took the first of many photography classes. Before becoming a wedding and portrait photographer, he worked as a salesperson and lab technician at a camera store, as a photographer’s assistant, as an award-winning newspaper photographer, and taught a Beginning Photography class at a community college.
Jason appreciates finding something special in an instant that most people would miss in the blink of an eye. He considers himself a traditional photographer who doesn’t use special effect filters or lenses, but instead tries to capture the magic of a moment as it happens.
Based in Forest Hill, MD, Jason will travel within the Baltimore and Washington D.C. areas to help make your wedding day memorable.
